Aubrey's senior pictures *** Guess who is shopping for a ring?

My sweet Brianna took a late lunch just to help her baby sister with her makeup for senior pictures. When I say late lunch, I mean after Aubrey got home from school. We can always count on her to come to the rescue to help Aubrey with these sort of things.

Our girl grew up. She'll be 18 next month.

We drove to Twin Falls for the first session of her senior pictures.

Since Anson and Brooklyn were going to look for rings, we put Aubrey's kayak in his truck and drove with them. Kayaking is one of Aubrey's favorite hobbies so we wanted pictures with her kayak.

Yes, I said they were looking for rings.

Brooklyn is Anson's future bride!

I've been praying for someone for Anson just like Brooklyn.

Dr. Joe to the rescue again.

Dad has been in so much pain ever since he put the trampoline up. His neck and shoulder area is what hurts the most. He has also lost the use of his right arm. Thursday he went to Urgent Care because his family doctor and our orthopedic surgeon were out of town for Spring break. The Urgent Care doctor gave him some Naproxyn and a muscle relaxant. Dick never got any pain relief with this medication. He hasn't been able to turn to his head to the left. Yesterday he asked me to look at his scapula because Brianna noticed that it was protruding. Holy cow! Was it ever protruding! It looked like it was dislocated! Today we went to see Dr. Joe, our orthopedic surgeon. I am so glad we did! I know that man loves his patients like he loves his own family. He told Dick that the medications that were prescribed to him were for kitties. Haha! He's such a cute man.
 The  X-rays showed that his bones were okay. He told us the muscles were spasming though. Dr. Joe gave Dick a stronger muscle relaxant and some pain medication. A few hours after we got home was the first time since the 21st that Dick finally got some rest.
 It's interesting what happens when you're on the right medication.

Anson spent part of Spring Break week in Saint George with Brooklyn and her family.

 They returned today.

I think I can say these two sweethearts are in love...

It makes me so happy to see Anson so happy and so in love. Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers.

I got to spend the day with this little man while his mother worked.
 This means games. I use to be nice to him and let him win.
 Now there's no way I can win!

Brianna took Aubrey and I to Stevo's.
 Dick wasn't feeling well. He's been having a lot of pain to his neck and shoulder since he put up the trampoline.
 He lost so much of his muscle mass because of the chemo and he was pulling on those springs pretty hard.

I have to share this!

Deacon has been doing this since he was 3 years old. Only at Stevo's. When we get there, he runs to this spot and pretends to be a statue. We admire the beautiful statue for a while and then we go in, and he unfreezes. When we get ready to leave the restaurant, he runs outside and pretends to be the statue again. We admire it for a little while and as we walk to the car, he unfreezes.

Brianna's first laser surgery and Aubrey and Deacon's spring break.

I thought that since it was spring break for Aubrey and Deacon, we could spend the night in a hotel and have a mini vacation. Kids always love hotels and hotel pools.

Of course we took the opportunity to go see Shoshone Falls again.
 We had planned a little picnic but it was a little too windy.

Dick is in the green windbreaker on the left side of the overlook. Aubrey, Travis, Brianna, and Deacon are on the end of right side.

After lunch, we all joined Bree at the eye doctor.
 Our beautiful and brave baby girl is ready for her laser surgery.
Where does she get her strength from?
 They would have to restrain me to the chair!

Travis waiting patiently as the doctor explains what he's going to do. Brianna also had a follow up on her cornea tear.
 The doctor said the cornea had healed almost 90%.

As soon as we checked in, Deacon wanted to go straight to the pool. He was so patient at the doctor's office. We let Brianna rest her eyes in the hotel room. Aubrey stayed in the room with her and took a nap too. Grandpa and I joined Travis and Deacon.

For dinner we went to an awesome sandwich shop in old town Twin Falls that Brianna and Travis recommended. The sandwiches were delicious!
 I love this part of town in Twin Falls.
 It's so charming!

Brianna rested her eyes while we waited for our order. Her eyes weren't red at all. They looked puffy like when you've been crying.
I don't know how to explain it but they did 750 burns 
(sealings to fix the leaks) in her right eye.
 In three weeks the doctor will do that much more to the same eye.
Crazy!

After dinner Deacon wanted more pool time.

Sisters...

Bree and Travis left pretty early the next day because she had to go to work. Her eyes looked great except she couldn't see very well on the eye that had the laser. They told her it would get better each day.
 After breakfast, we all went down to the pool so that Aubrey and Deacon could play in the pool.
