"I promise you that if you will keep your journals and records, they will indeed be a source of great inspiration to your families, to your children, your grandchildren, and others, on through the generations. Each of us is important to those who are near and dear to us-and as our posterity read of our life's experiences, they too, will come to know and love us. And in that glorious day when our families are together in the eternities, we will already be acquainted. What could you do better for your children and your children's children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved? Some of what you write may be humdrum dates and places, but there will also be rich passages that will be quoted by your posterity. We hope you will begin as of this date." ~Spencer W. Kimball

"In family relationships, love is really spelled t-i-m-e." _Dieter F. Uchtdorf

A persons own family is without a doubt, the greatest wealth that we will ever possess. Treasure every moment and take the time to ensure that the story you create is one that you will be proud of and look back on with a huge smile.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISLYNN!

Six years ago Chrislynn came into our lives, when she married Richie. (our eldest) I love you more than words can say. You are "one of a kind." You are such a good wife to Richie and SO
unselfish. You've given me my first grandchildren and you are such a good mother to them. Thanks for everything! Thanks for being a great daughter to me and a great older sister to the kids. Thanks for the good example that you are to all of us. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Thank you for coming into MY life.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Richie told me that YOU love this song. Wouldn't you know it? It was on my playlist because I love it too! I dedicate this song to you.

2008 - 2009 Student Body President!

Anson Vosco Call is the 2008-2009 Burley Junior High Student Body President. Not the eighth grade president but the Sudent Body President. He was running against 3 other girls. Friday the school had the primary elections and two of the girls were out after the students voted. It was between him and an eighth grade cheerleader. Today they had the general elections and he was the winner. I am so proud of him. I am so grateful that he loves and respects everyone not just the popular kids. He is such a good friend to all. I find it interesting that 36 years ago his father was the Logan Junior High Student Body President. Congratulations Anson! That is a big accomplishlment! Don't ever change from who you are and you will go a long ways.

Game night for everyone!

Today I had a primary presidency meeting at 9:30 am. When I came back, I felt like I had so much time before church. Church starts at 12:30 and I usually get in the shower at 10:00 and get ready. After I'm ready I help Aubrey blow dry her hair (which takes about an hour because she has tons of hair) so I'm always running late. Today I showered and got ready before my meeting so I came home, helped Aubrey, had lunch, and even had time to get on the blog before church. After church, we found Bree and Travis here for Sunday night football. Poor Brianna was asleep on the couch and Travis was ready for football. I told Brianna to go to the spare room and nap while I fixed dinner. In the meantime, Aubrey baked cookies and Travis went out to visit with the missionaries. When Travis came back he went to wake Brianna up for dinner but he said she said, "just 5 more minutes." We all had dinner while she slept. I have never seen her so tired. It breaks my heart. On top of school and her job, she's in the play, "West Side Story." She is playing Anita. They have 6:00 am rehersals everyday. Anyway..... an hour later she came out and had dinner. The boys have been watching their football game. Brianna and Aubrey have been playing games. Anson has been listening to music on his ipod. I love his music! He has really good taste. We had a pretty relaxing day today.

Random post.

These are some of my favorite Richie III pictures

Giselle, my rolls turned out wonderful!
I have to say..........I always love my Christmas tree! I let the kids decorate the family tree in the family room, but I always decorate the one in the front room all by myself. Some of the ornaments I replace every couple of years, but most of them stay the same year after year because Grandma Call gave them to us.
I stole this picture from Chrislynn's blog. Isn't this the most beautiful picture you have ever seen? Ladies and gentlemen.....I present to you Miss Sophia Christina Call!

I love these pictures of Aubrey, they are some of my favorite. Giselle took the first two and I think they are so cute. The third one is when she first got her braces in the 2nd grade. Speaking of Aubrey...... yesterday someone went to her homeroom and told her that White Pine would be doing "The Christmas Carol" this year and that she would be the star of the show. The lady told her that the other kids will be singing, but that Aubrey would be acting. Rehersals start every Tuesday morning from now till December.

Back in 2006, I took a year off nursing and was babsitting Lindsay and Adysen. Lindsay was 6 weeks old when I started watching her and Ady was 3. Yesterday Adysen's mom was going to Twin Falls and didn't think she would be back by noon to take Ady to kindergarten. She asked if I could watch her and take her to school. We spent the morning together before I took her to school. I can't believe she is in kindergarten already! She is so tall and beautiful as always. I had to take her to Brianna's work because Bree had to see her and Ady wanted to see Brianna too. Lindsay is two now and has changed so much. She went to Twin Falls with her mom so I didn't get a picture of her.

ROCKS GRAMA!

When Richie and his family were in Logan for the summer we brought Giselle's little bed out from storage. This is where Richie III would sleep when he would stay here. As you can see, I don't have the heart to put the bed away. I'm just not ready. Ryan, Erica, Sam and Nancy came for Labor Day weekend and stayed with us for a couple of days. Ryan, Erica and Sam stayed in our bedroom. I guess during the night, Erica needed another pillow and got the one from the little yellow bed. She noticed there was some rocks under the pillow. This little rocks belonged to Richie III. I remember going to Brianna's apartment with him. Her driveway has tons of rocks and as soon as Richie got out of the car he yelled with so much joy, "ROCKS GRAMA!" I remember telling him, "you can only take 2 of your favorite rocks". (When he went camping with us, he loved finding rocks and throwing them in the river.) Richie played with those rocks while we visited with Brianna and Travis as if they were two brand new toys that we had just bought at the store. He brought the two rocks to our house and also bathed the rocks with him that night. After his bath, I never thought of the rocks again. Well........I guess he hid them in a very safe place. When Erica told me about the rocks, I just started crying because I knew exactly what rocks she was talking about.
There are the two little rocks that he hid under his pillow.

FAMILY PRAYER

My favorite part of the day is when we gather at bedtime for family prayer. Aubrey is usually the first one that gets ready and is waiting for us. Dad usually says, "Who would like to offer the prayer?" She always says, "Can I do it?" It's kind of hard to take a turn when she always wants to say it, but it makes me so happy that she is always willing. I especially like it when Brianna and Travis join us. I can't even imagine that one day it will just be dad and I kneeling by our bed. All alone, without our children by us for FAMILY PRAYER. We've had kids in our lives for so long that I can't even imagine what that would be like.

Our first cantaloupe!

Dad's garden keeps on giving. He was out there trimming it back some more today. His little garden has gotten a little neglected since school started. On top of school, he has started his rehersals for "West Side Story". Alot of the leaves on the zucchini, squash, pumpkins, and melons got a little hammered from the two nights we had frost. So Dick was out there trimming the dead leaves. WE PICKED OUR FIRST CANTALOUPE TODAY! It was a bit early. Considering it wasn't as ripe as it should have been, it was delicous. Mama Mia! It was good! We have alot of winter squash. I heard it's good if you bake it with a brown sugar mixture and marshmallows, etc. If anyone has any ideas on how to prepare it, let me know. Our pumpkins are orange! They are SO perfectly shaped! I went in the dog kennel where Aubrey plays and found this in her little "pretend house". Tons of grapes! She loves to eat grapes while she plays house. I think we'll be juicing next week.

For Sophie and Richie

I made this Holloween band for Sophia. I also got them these cute pumpkin face tees. On one of Richie's tees, the Spiderman lights up. One of Sophie's glows in the dark. I can't wait to see my two little pumpkins! Hopefully for Christmas!

Chrislynn, remember all the bands that I was making when you were here. I need to send them to you. I know I gave you alot with the big flowers already, but this yellow one is extra special. It was one of the flowers that was on Aunt Brianna's wedding cake. I have a lot more that I made. I'm making her some for Christmas. I better get to the post office!
