"I promise you that if you will keep your journals and records, they will indeed be a source of great inspiration to your families, to your children, your grandchildren, and others, on through the generations. Each of us is important to those who are near and dear to us-and as our posterity read of our life's experiences, they too, will come to know and love us. And in that glorious day when our families are together in the eternities, we will already be acquainted. What could you do better for your children and your children's children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved? Some of what you write may be humdrum dates and places, but there will also be rich passages that will be quoted by your posterity. We hope you will begin as of this date." ~Spencer W. Kimball

"In family relationships, love is really spelled t-i-m-e." _Dieter F. Uchtdorf

A persons own family is without a doubt, the greatest wealth that we will ever possess. Treasure every moment and take the time to ensure that the story you create is one that you will be proud of and look back on with a huge smile.

My 49th birthday weekend with family.

I needed to spend my birthday with all my children and we did. We all headed to Logan on Friday night to join Richie and his family. On Saturday morning, Brianna, Travis, and Deacon joined us. We all stayed at the Crystal Inn. We like that hotel because we get free breakfast and dinner, so in the long run we end up saving money. Especially when we get Giselle's hotel discount.

On my birthday, we all met up at Willow park/zoo. We had a great time while all the grown ups visited and the children played.
We had a wonderful time. We saw Grandpa Vosco Call and most of Regan's children. Regan is Dick's older sister who passed away about four years ago from a brain aneurysm. Allyn, Dick's other sister was there with her family too.

MI FAMILIA HERMOSA...
When we arrived in Logan we went straight to Richie's house. Richie III is all packed and ready to join us at the hotel.

He couldn't decide if he should sleep in Giselle's room with Aubrey and Anson, or if he should stay in Grandma and Grandpa's room. When he found out there was a sofa bed in our room, he decided to stay with us. He called it his little bedroom.

Sophie kept going in and out of the pool. One of the times, while Grandpa was working on his crossword puzzle, she got out of the pool and surprised him with a big kiss. That made his day!

A long, long time ago... more than 30 years ago, Dick's brother built this chest for Grandma Ruth Call's Unicorn Theater.

Aubrey's 11th birthday

The night before Aubrey's birthday, Giselle and Brianna made some cupcakes for Aubrey's classroom. I think they turned out so beautiful. They were so yummy too!
Photobucket

Giselle took a summer cupcake class from Sur La Table in Virginia. This is one of the cupcakes she learned to make. Brianna decorated them.
Photobucket

In the morning before school Aubrey opened a few presents.
Photobucket

She got some ear phones to replace her old ones from Dad. That was on the top of her list.
Photobucket

New Moon, of course!
Photobucket

Brianna, Deacon, and I took the cupcakes to her school later on that day.
Photobucket

The kids played some games.
Photobucket

I suggested to Brianna that we should take a picture of Deacon holding a cupcake.
Photobucket

While we were getting the camera ready, he couldn't resist tasting it.
Photobucket

He looked at us like he knew he was doing something wrong but he couldn't stop tasting it.
Photobucket

He loved it, but he will have to wait for his first birthday before he can actually eat one.
Photobucket

We joined Dad in Pocatello to finish celebrating Aubrey's birthday. He had taken some students to Pocatello for State Speech.
Photobucket

We all decided to see who was the most flexible.
Photobucket

Even Deacon was participating. I took first place by far, but I refuse to show my picture. Yes, I know my family is very strange but quite honestly... there is never a dull moment at the Call's.
Photobucket

Dad was pretending we weren't there.
Photobucket

Aubrey danced...

... and danced.

Deacon loved the party!
Photobucket

... and I think he loved hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa!
Photobucket

Giselle went to the mall to shop for new cloths. Brianna, Deacon, and Aubrey went for a swim.
Photobucket

Giselle bought Deacon a toy for the water and he loved it!
Photobucket

I wish I had his lashes.
Photobucket

Where did my mom go?
Photobucket

There she is!!!
Photobucket

Every time we go near a pool, he loves the water! He is looking at that water like he really wants to go back in there.
Photobucket

After we checked out of the hotel, we stopped at Applebee's. Deacon helped us order.
Photobucket

The food was delicious!

This is the mascot of awkward moments. I learned about him from Giselle a few years back. Apparently, when things get awkward, you can place one hand on top of the other, position them between you & the other awkward participant in the situation, wiggle your thumbs around. That’s supposed to clear the air; I guess because it’s so stupid and weird.

Photobucket

We had an "awkward turtle" moment at the restaurant. It is so much fun when all of you are participants of the "awkward turtle." You don't have to say anything just do the mascot. It really does clear the air and makes it all better.

Happy birthday Miss Aubrey! I love you so much. You will always be my baby girl, but you are turning into a beautiful young lady every day.
You have one of the best qualities you can ever own. You don't care if you are alone or with friends because you are so secure with who you are. You remind me so much of your sisters at this age. I love how you never, ever try to be someone you are not. You are just Aubrey! Aubrey is a very special young lady.
