Dad went to work yesterday (Friday). I picked him up for lunch and asked if he wanted to go home and nap. He said "No, I feel very energetic. I think I've been missing my classroom and my students so much that I'm feeling an adrenaline rush." As he is telling me this he is yawning continuously. Who is he fooling?
After school, Anson and dad went upstairs and started ripping the carpet out of Anson's room. Anson's allergies have gotten so bad. That is all dad has been thinking about, a way to help that poor kid. I worry that Dick is doing so much.
He is at it again today. There is lots of noise coming from upstairs. Dad can't slow down and he never will. I hope that if I ever get seriously sick, I can put it in the back burner like dad. He still thinks the doctors have misdiagnosed him and that he is not sick. When they get his tumor out and his leg is the same size as the other one, he'll probably say..."Oh, I guess I did have something growing in there."
The oncologist told us that she was going to visit with his surgeon and move his surgery up a week. So I guess surgery won't be on April the 3rd. He also told dad not to plan on going back to work until June. Dad still says he will return to work the following week. He told me that is what wheelchairs are for.
I'm back to my old and comfortable routine. Taking the kids to school and picking them up. Cuddling with my kids whenever I want to. Grocery shopping, fixing dinner, dishes, cleaning house, and laundry. I love it!
