Sunday... 12/28/08 After church today, we had Christmas with Richie and his little family. Oh my gosh! I love seeing little ones open presents. It is so much fun!!! After presents Fredric and Darla Ridenour came and took our family pictures. He is a great photographer. He took pictures for West Side Story and they came out amazing! I feel bad that his photography business didn't take off. If he doesn't get a job soon he will be moving next month and she will be moving with the children in February. He is very hopeful and doesn't want to move. He told us he believes in miracles and one could happen.
Vilma made a wonderful dinner for us. Thanks for everything you do for us Vilma. I sure do love you! We all ate and played Wii. Little Richie is so cute and really gets into it. He sings awesome, just like his mom and dad. He is also a good drummer. He does this rock star face. It's hilarious! The time came to say goodbye, AGAIN to our Giselle. Richie and dad took her and Radik to the airport. They didn't get back to Burley until 3:30 am. Our Giselle left tonight.
We will see you soon my love.

Richie III loved his remote control car from papa.

This is "mi familia." Anson and dad have their eyes closed 99% of the time in all of our family pictures. Our photographer had to take a million pictures to get a couple with their eyes open. My little Aubrey was trying so hard not to cry for pictures. Her sister would be leaving soon.

Poor little Aubrey has such a hard time every time Giselle says her goodbyes. My heart breaks every time we part.

After my heart breaks... it's pictures like this one that mend my heart.

... and this one.

Saturday...12/27/08 We all woke up to a McDonald's breakfast hosted by our dear Paul. After breakfast, Dad,Vilma, and Paul took the children skiing. Anson went with them but wasn't able to ski because last night him and Joseph were sledding down the basement stairs in a huge plastic tub. When Anson took his 7th turn, his tub turned upside down and he jammed a finger and his knee. We weren't even aware the boys were doing this. We heard a loud noise when Anson tumbled down the stairs and all ran to see what caused the noise. Anson was laying on the bottom of the stairs in lots of pain and feeling really stupid. Joseph was laughing away saying "I wish I could have recorded it with my phone camera, it was the coolest thing I've ever seen." Miss Aubrey stayed with me and did not want to ski today. They all returned from skiing about 5:30 pm and we had some warm homemade beef stew. Sissy made some wonderful corn bread. Sissy and Radik had dinner at Travis and Brianna's house.
Richie and his family were suppose to arrive in SLC around 9:00 pm. Their flight got delayed a couple hours. Richie called and told us that the car rental place would close at 11:00 pm so it would be closed by the time they arrived. Dick and Paul decided to drive to SLC to bring them home. They finally arrived at 4:30 am. Vilma and I went to bed about 1:30 am. Travis, Brianna, Sissy, Radik, Anson, and Joseph all stayed up to welcome them. I woke up when they arrived. Little Sophie was so ready for bed and looked exhausted. Richie III was as cute as can be. He remembered all of us and was smiling from ear to ear.
