"I promise you that if you will keep your journals and records, they will indeed be a source of great inspiration to your families, to your children, your grandchildren, and others, on through the generations. Each of us is important to those who are near and dear to us-and as our posterity read of our life's experiences, they too, will come to know and love us. And in that glorious day when our families are together in the eternities, we will already be acquainted. What could you do better for your children and your children's children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved? Some of what you write may be humdrum dates and places, but there will also be rich passages that will be quoted by your posterity. We hope you will begin as of this date." ~Spencer W. Kimball

"In family relationships, love is really spelled t-i-m-e." _Dieter F. Uchtdorf

A persons own family is without a doubt, the greatest wealth that we will ever possess. Treasure every moment and take the time to ensure that the story you create is one that you will be proud of and look back on with a huge smile.

Grace's Fun Run

Today we drove to Logan to see Chrislynn and Grace run for their school.

Go Call girls!

After the run, we drove to SLC and met up with Giselle's friend, Jackie. Giselle also had an appointment with an endocrinologist and Dick and I wanted to be with her.

Giselle bought us some cookies to bring to Burley.

Another win fror Aubrey and Josh... Burley vs Wood River

Yesterday Aubrey and her tennis partner won their match again.

Another win for Aubrey and Josh, against Wood River! Dick and I couldn't make it to the match because we were at the hospital getting blood. But Coach Jones, AKA Brianna, took a picture for me and kept us updated on the score. Congratulations Aubrey and Josh!

Anson will be here for a few weeks before he starts an apprenticeship with the Lyric Reperatory Company this summer.

Our backyard went from brown winter grass to LONG beautiful green grass over night. Thank youAnson for mowing it. Dad can check it off his list of things he couldn't do right now. We love you! It was so nice to wake up to this.

More blood for Dick... Minidoka

Peek-a-Boo!

He's needing some blood today again. Dick came to Minidoka Hospital for lab. His hemoglobin was 7.6. Normal is 13.5 - 18.0. He will get blood for that. No wonder he has absolutely no energy! His platelets are super low too. He can't get chemo next week at Huntsman unless platelets are over 100. Normal platelets range is 130-400. Dick is 24. That is not good! Minidoka would gladly give him platelets too but Huntsman doesn't give blood unless they're under 15. ðŸ˜³ Last cycle they decreased the chemo dosage but his platelets continue to drop. We'll know more next week as far as what's the plan of action.

Just a little dehydrated

Dick was at one of our local hospitals today because he was dehydrated but he didn't need any blood this week
just saline!
They must have found the right chemo
dosage! He's feeling so much better in between cycles. He is still a little anemic but that is expected because he's on chemo.
His platelets are staying pretty low so we are hoping those climb too. It's nice to see him have a better quality of life in between cycles.

Testing Giselle for Graves'

April 4, 2016

Giselle had a thyroid scan and update.
She had to drink a radioactive liquid and then came back for testing for two days. We didn't get the results from the endocrinologist but the technician said the results were really high which indicates Graves' Disease.

In between the radioactive drink and one of her test we went to Dad Call's pasture. Ellie wanted to go shooting. Dad Call lets a friend keep his cows there. Those cows were very curious.
