"I promise you that if you will keep your journals and records, they will indeed be a source of great inspiration to your families, to your children, your grandchildren, and others, on through the generations. Each of us is important to those who are near and dear to us-and as our posterity read of our life's experiences, they too, will come to know and love us. And in that glorious day when our families are together in the eternities, we will already be acquainted. What could you do better for your children and your children's children than to record the story of your life, your triumphs over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved? Some of what you write may be humdrum dates and places, but there will also be rich passages that will be quoted by your posterity. We hope you will begin as of this date." ~Spencer W. Kimball

"In family relationships, love is really spelled t-i-m-e." _Dieter F. Uchtdorf

A persons own family is without a doubt, the greatest wealth that we will ever possess. Treasure every moment and take the time to ensure that the story you create is one that you will be proud of and look back on with a huge smile.

Cycle 4... New Chemo and maybe Grave's for Giselle

MARCH 28, 2016
It's been a good little break for Dick from chemo but it's time to get at it again.
After Vos's memorial, the children's play, and Easter, we spent the night at Richie's again.
We had a snow storm during the night.

When we woke up, there was a lot of snow in Logan but the roads were very drivable.
We're in Salt Lake City now.

 Cycle 4, here he comes!

The medical assistant just came into Dick's room to check his blood sugar. He told the nurse, "I'm guessing it'll be 315." She said, "It's 316!"
That was pretty AMAZING! I'm impressed!!!
By the way. The steroids they give him before the chemo cause it to go sky high.

Snow day for Aubrey and Deacon in Burley. I bet Aubrey is loving not having to go to go to school. Deacon is probably not too happy. HAPPY SNOW DAY CASSIA COUNTY!!!
Snow Day in March!

Aubrey sent  me a picture of her car and the snow in Burley.

It's been a very heavy snow in Burley and has caused a lot of damage.

Look at our evergreens!

MARCH 29, 2016

Yesterday he saw the oncologist and she decided to decrease the chemo dosage again since he's been needing so many blood transfusions and his platelets have been remaining so low. He was admitted yesterday for a 24 hour infusion and was discharged today around 5 pm. He tolerated it well. We are in the hotel now. Immunotherapy tomorrow and then we head home.  Now we pray that he remains strong and doesn't become so ill like he did for the first 3 cycles. He's amazing! CTScans in 3 weeks.

MARCH 30,2016

Giselle, Anson, and Brandon came to spend the morning and afternoon with us.

Giselle took us to an awesome restaurant for breakfast.
She always finds the best places!

After breakfast we drove to the Huntsman for Dad's immunotherapy.
We had some fun help.

Two very special young men brought us home. Dick is feeling great so far! #HomeSweetHome

I leave Utah with a heavy heart because really... she's just a little girl who grew up. No matter how old my children get they'll always be MY babies. I'm suppose to hold them up when they can't stand, right!?! My sweet girl, Giselle went to see an endocrinologist in SLC after she spent the morning and afternoon with us.

So she calls me in tears on our way back to Idaho. They'll be running more tests but they're pretty sure she has Graves' Disease. Knowing she needs a thyroid scan and update, that she needs to swallow radioactive iodine, and that she needs a thyroid ablation scares me to death. She's so blessed that they're finding out all of this before other serious issues developed. Lately she's been feeling her heart pounding and most of the time her heart rate has been in the 140's. She's been put on a heart medication already to slow her heart down. It makes me sad that she's going through all of this but I'm so grateful she found a good doctor to help her start feeling better.

I love you Giselle and we're with you my darling girl. You can count on us ALWAYS being with you for any procedures you'll be facing and more

Easter 2016 in Logan

Since we had the memorial for Vos, the children's play in Logan, and Cycle 4 in SLC the following Monday, we celebrated Easter in Logan, at Richie's house. We figured it would be less traveling for everyone. Brian and Ellie were here visiting from England so they were able to join us. Grandpa Vosco joined us too. We had a wonderful time.
