Later on that day, Brianna and I took Deacon to his doctor because he had a funny little cough. He was feeling fine and was smiling constantly but that cough didn't sound good. By the time we got to the doctor, he had started wheezing. The doctor sent us to Respiratory Therapy at the hospital and had him checked for RSV. Sure enough he tested positive. Unfortunately there is nothing they can do about it since it's a virus. The doctor told us that along with the RSV comes ear infections so to be prepared.
On Saturday, we took Deacon to the ER because his breathing was very labored. They suctioned him and gave him a breathing treatment and sent us home.
Today, Monday... Deacon had his 4 month check up and a follow up for the RSV. The doctor gave him a breathing treatment while the baby was in his office because he was sounding terrible. He also sent the machine and some Albuterol home with Brianna so that she could give him treatments when needed. The doctor gave Brianna the choice to have him hospitalized or to keep him at home. Brianna decided to keep him here and see how he does tonight. He has also developed an ear infection, which is very common with RSV.
Brianna and I have been taking turns with him these past two nights. What is so amazing is that as bad as he sounds, he is always smiling and honestly has no idea why he doesn't feel well. If he didn't sound croupy, we wouldn't even know he is sick.
Friday... We started the humidifier.

Saturday... Deacon in the ER.

Having a breathing treatment. He is the sweetest baby in the world.

I love the way he looks at his mommy.

Monday... They sent the breathing treatments home. The treatments really worry him at first.

Mommy and Daddy can make anything better. Brianna is really a calm mother. I am so proud of her. She acts as if she's been a mommy for years.

... and they're home! They left the East coast at 4:00 pm on Saturday. They spent the night in a hotel on Sunday night, and arrived on Monday night.(Well at 3:00 am on Tuesday.) A 2 day and 10 hour trip across the USA! Holy moly!!!!!

They drove a 14' U Haul and towed Giselle's Mazda. I understand that Anson drove most of the time. I guess Anson is done with his driving hours. He can get a real driver's license on his 15th birthday next month.

Aubrey requested to have lunch today with Brianna, Giselle, and I. When I went to pick her up from school, I told her that the girls wanted to sleep in. She looked very disappointed that her sisters weren't with me. When we got to Pizza Hut all of the family surprised her.

Aubrey and I had pasta (Chicken Alfredo) and the rest of the family had Pizza.

After lunch, Dad went back to bed. He is so, so tired. He is resting up before his 4:00 rehearsal.
It was so good to have them home... safe! When Dick and I got to bed, we held each other all night long. Almost as if there would be no tomorrow. Thanks for bringing her home sweetheart. I love my family!
SOME PICTURES OF THEIR ROAD TRIP.
